Tejasvi Surya: LDF, UDF Are Corrupt, Communal, Two Sides of One Coin

BJP MP Tejasvi Surya launched a blistering attack on Kerala’s two principal fronts on Thursday. Tejasvi Surya said “LDF, UDF Are Corrupt” and “Communal”.

Allegations of opportunism and candidate switching

Surya told ANI that many candidates have switched sides between the alliances. He said at least 25 candidates contested earlier for one front and now stand for the other.

He argued this showed match-fixing and collusion. Surya added that such moves undercut public trust in both fronts.

On manifestos and governance

Surya accused both alliances of treating manifestos as formalities. He said they fail to implement promises after winning elections.

He also blamed the fronts for hindering Kerala’s development. Surya described their attitude as hostile to the state’s progress.

BJP and NDA as an alternative

Surya presented the BJP and the NDA as a “very serious alternative” to the existing duopoly. He expressed confidence this election will mark a new opening in Kerala politics.

He predicted the best-ever performance by the NDA in the state. Surya denied that the NDA is a B-team of any other camp.

Context and election timeline

Earlier this month, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan called Congress leader Rahul Gandhi the “B-team” of the BJP. Vijayan accused Congress of copying the ruling party’s positions.

Polling for the 2026 Kerala Legislative Assembly is scheduled for April 9. Counting of votes will take place on May 4, and the assembly’s current tenure ends on May 23.

Surya summed up by calling the two fronts “Two Sides of One Coin.” He spoke to ANI, and this report appears on Filmogaz.com.
