Discover Kid Rock’s ‘Southern White House’ Location in Nashville
The Army reviewed a helicopter flyby near Kid Rock’s Nashville residence after a viral video showed two Apaches hovering nearby. The aircrew from Fort Campbell had been suspended following the March 28 incident. On March 31, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth lifted those suspensions.
Military response and statement
Officials said the suspensions followed the video posted by the musician. A U.S. official, speaking anonymously to Reuters, confirmed the temporary action. Hegseth announced the lifting with the lines, “No punishment. No investigation.”
The visit prompted a public salute from Kid Rock after the helicopters hovered near his property. The pilot suspensions were the focus until the March 31 announcement. Hegseth concluded his post with, “Carry on, patriots.”
Where the property sits
Discover the location of Kid Rock’s “Southern White House” on a hill in Whites Creek. The community lies about 15 to 20 minutes north of downtown Nashville.
Whites Creek is a historic rural area in Davidson County. Properties there often offer multiple acres and significant privacy.
Property details and features
The home is a 27,000-square-foot replica of the White House. The wider compound includes a church, a barber shop, and a gas station. Kid Rock has called the site a “Redneck Paradise” during media interviews.
Purchase history and acreage
In 2015, he bought 102 acres in Whites Creek for $800,000, according to reporting. He had earlier built a multimillion-dollar house on 68 nearby acres. Reports say he later purchased six more acres, bringing the estimated total to about 176 acres.
Seller William A. Reynolds told reporters in 2015 that the buyer planned to use the land as a backyard. Kid Rock has lived in the Nashville area since 2005.
Public comments and media tour
In 2022, Kid Rock guided former Fox anchor Tucker Carlson around the property. He said he had been “dreaming it up for 20 years.” He recounted hiking through woods until he reached the view shown in the helicopter video.
On social media, he urged quick action about the land purchase with the remark, “Write them a check.” The video that triggered the military review identified the residence as the “Southern White House.”
