David Haye Hints at ‘Saucy’ New Season of I’m A Celebrity South Africa
Former world champion David Haye is set to return to the I’m A Celebrity jungle for a second time. The 45-year-old will appear in the pre-recorded South Africa edition that airs on ITV in April.
Previous jungle run
Haye first competed on the show’s 12th Australian series. He finished third, behind Charlie Brooks and Ashley Roberts.
He described his initial camp as generally friendly, with few overt antagonists. He also said the trials in Australia did not push him physically.
Attitude and preparation
The former professional boxer says he will take a more combative approach this time. He hinted that he will not shy away from camp drama.
Haye also shared he is unfazed by wildlife challenges. He argued that years of facing hard-hitting opponents reduced his fear of creepy-crawlies and rough trials.
Diet and fitness
Haye noted his long career required strict weight management until age 28. Because of that, he expects the pared-back camp rations to be manageable.
Off-grid opportunity
He welcomed the chance to disconnect from phones and business commitments. Haye said the experience allows quiet reflection on relationships and future plans.
What to expect this season
The upcoming series was filmed in a South African national park. It is a pre-recorded all-stars edition and will be broadcast in April.
Ashley Roberts, who finished ahead of Haye in his first appearance, is among the returning cast. Hosts Ant and Dec will present the series.
