Organization and perspective
National technical director Sébastien Vieilledent praised the U17 critérium for its development value. He called Cazaubon an essential venue for French rowing.
Vieilledent thanked the club, the local organising committee, and the Cazaubon-Barbotan municipality. He noted favorable conditions across the weekend.
The director highlighted the event’s 50-year significance and said the regatta offers a stepping stone. He added the regatta occurs about 15 days before the traditional Cazaubon classic.
He also mentioned para-rowing adjustments, including a non-mandatory bow passage. Several beach rowing sprint athletes joined the competition.
