LSU handed No. 3 Oklahoma a 3-1 defeat in Baton Rouge on Saturday, March 28. The loss ended Oklahoma’s 22-game winning streak.

Game summary

LSU struck first in the opening inning after drawing two walks. A sacrifice fly produced the game’s first run.

Oklahoma and LSU both held zeroes through the second and third innings. The game’s decisive rally arrived in the fourth inning.

Alix Franklin delivered the first hit for LSU in the fourth. Kylee Edwards followed with a two-run homer to center field.

Oklahoma scratched across a run in the seventh. Kai Minor singled and later scored on a bunt by Ailana Agbayani.

Jayden Heavener earned the win with a complete-game outing. Her record moved to 8-6 after retiring the final two batters.

Allyssa Parker took the loss for Oklahoma, dropping to 4-1. Sydney Berzon appeared in relief and threw three scoreless innings.
