Actor Lee Sang-bo, 45, Found Dead at Home After Being Cleared of Drug Allegations
Veteran actor Lee Sang-bo, age 45, was found dead at his home in Pyeongtaek on the 27th. His family discovered him around 12:40 p.m. and notified police.

Pyeongtaek Police Station said investigators found no obvious signs of foul play. Authorities are probing the exact circumstances of his death.
Career highlights
Born in 1981, Lee made his television debut in 2006 on KBS2’s The Invisible Man. He built a steady career in television and film.
His drama credits include Daughters-in-Law, Cruel Love, Private Lives, and Miss Monte-Cristo. Film appearances included Secretly, Greatly and Mephisto.
He returned to screens in 2023 with the KBS drama The Elegant Empire. Last year he signed an exclusive contract with Korea Management Group.
2022 allegations and clearance
In 2022 Lee faced suspicion of drug use. He said the substances were prescribed medication for depression.
Police carried out detailed urine and hair analyses. Investigators found no evidence of criminal activity and declined to refer the case for prosecution.
Having been cleared of those drug allegations, he had resumed work and public engagements.
Funeral arrangements
The wake is being held in Room 3 of Pyeongtaek Jungang Funeral Hall in Gyeonggi Province. The funeral is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on the 29th.
Interment will take place at the Pyeongtaek City Memorial Hall. Family and colleagues will hold private ceremonies.
