Veteran Long Snapper Joins NY Giants, Replacing Casey Kreiter
The New York Giants have signed veteran long snapper Triner to their roster. The move fills the vacancy created when Casey Kreiter left in free agency.
Triner’s NFL background
Triner is 35 years old and has been in the NFL since 2019. He has appeared in 85 regular-season games.
He spent the first five and a half years of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Buccaneers waived him in 2024.
In 2024, Triner snapped in three games for the Miami Dolphins. He also appeared in one game last season for the Washington Commanders.
Additionally, he spent time in 2025 with the Denver Broncos and the Atlanta Falcons.
Special teams overhaul in New York
Casey Kreiter handled long snapping duties for the Giants from 2020 through 2025. He opted to sign with the Arizona Cardinals in free agency.
Kreiter linked up with former Giants special teams coordinator Michael Ghobrial in Arizona. That departure prompted a broader kicking operation revamp in New York.
The franchise added a veteran long snapper to the NY Giants roster, replacing Casey Kreiter. The change is part of a wider special teams shuffle.
Other roster moves
- Jordan Stout has taken over punting duties from Jamie Gillan.
