Six-Story Hanoi Building Fire: Seven People Escape Safely
Fire broke out on the evening of March 24 at a six-story house in alley 218 Linh Nam, Hoàng Mai, Hanoi. Flames began on the second floor and spread fast because of combustible materials inside. Smoke and fire pushed out through the windows.

Neighbors saw people waving and calling for help from upper windows. The homeowner’s son and a nearby student climbed onto a neighboring roof. They jumped onto the burning roof and tore open corrugated iron to pull the trapped occupants out.
Firefighting response
Fire police units from stations 9 and 12 were dispatched after the alarm. Crews broke glass and used hoses to tackle the flames. They also guided remaining residents to safety in adjacent homes.
Containment and timing
Firefighters brought the blaze under control by about 19:00. Several people suffered mild smoke inhalation. They were taken to hospital for checks.
