Ronan Keating Dons Stylish Attire for GAA Pitch Engagement

Ronan Keating has returned to Ireland to front a new BBC series that explores the country’s west coast. The singer travels to places that shaped his childhood.

Road trip along the Wild Atlantic

The show, titled The Wild Atlantic, follows Keating as he visits Cork, Kerry, Mayo, Sligo and Donegal. Several family members and well-known locals join him at stops along the route.

Keating left Ireland at 16. He says revisiting those landscapes has been emotional and rewarding.

Visit to Dr Crokes and the GAA pitch

In Kerry, Keating stopped at Dr Crokes GAA Club. He met his brother Gary for a fishing trip and spent time on the hurling field with club members.

The club shared a photo of Keating holding the Liam McCarthy Cup. They said they were delighted to host him and look forward to seeing Brendan and Mike put him through his paces.

Keating cut a smart figure during the visit. His stylish attire drew attention during the GAA pitch engagement.

Dr Crokes has produced notable players, including Colm ‘Gooch’ Cooper, Eoin Brosnan, Johnny Buckley and Pat O’Shea.

Where to watch

The series will air on BBC One Northern Ireland and will be available on BBC iPlayer. Viewers can expect a mix of personal recollection and local color.
