Anaconda (2025) 4K SteelBook Review: Charismatic Cast Elevates Meta Comedy

Doug and Griff are lifelong friends who set out to remake their favorite cult movie. They travel deep into the Amazon to shoot their passion project. The production turns dangerous when a real giant anaconda shows up on set.

Story and Performances

Jack Black plays Doug and Paul Rudd plays Griff. Their chemistry anchors the film and carries the comedic through-line. The story is a self-aware, meta comedy that riffs on nostalgia and franchise revivals.

Audio

The 4K disc includes a Dolby Atmos soundtrack exclusive to the UHD format. A DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 track is also available. Atmos height channels and precise channel placement enhance environmental and wildlife sounds.

The low end is active without overpowering dialogue. The mix uses panning and spatial cues to place the viewer inside the chaos of the shoot.
