Arrests and police actions

Officers arrested one man at the scene. He is held on suspicion of assaulting police officers, resisting arrest, and theft.

The second suspect fled and barricaded himself inside a property in the Glenview area. He reportedly brandished a broken bottle while inside.

Specially trained officers entered the property to manage the situation. A Conducted Energy Device (CED) was used to prevent further harm.

The second man was then taken into custody. He faces suspected charges including possession of an offensive weapon, assault on police, disorderly behaviour, and theft.

Injuries and hospital treatment

An officer sustained facial injuries during the incident and required hospital treatment. A woman was also conveyed to hospital for injuries that police say are not thought to be serious.
