Zach Root Shines Among Dodgers Prospects in 2026 Spring Breakout
The Los Angeles Dodgers prospects beat Chicago White Sox minor leaguers 11-10 at Camelback Ranch. The contests followed the Dodgers’ Cactus League schedule on Saturday afternoon.

Adam Serwinoski matched Root with three innings. He allowed two runs and closed out the three-inning save.
Serwinoski came to Los Angeles via a three-team trade with the Tampa Bay Rays and Cincinnati Reds. He had reported to High-A Great Lakers before joining the Drillers late in 2025.
He also tossed two scoreless innings across two Cactus League appearances this year. The performance added depth to the Dodgers prospect pool.
Offensive standouts
James Tibbs III supplied a key blow with a three-run homer. Tibbs had been a spring training standout before the showcase.
Tibbs was traded twice before the 2025 deadline. He landed with the Dodgers and reported to Double-A Tulsa after the deal.
In 36 games he hit .269/.407/.493 with five doubles, seven homers and 32 RBI. He totaled 20 home runs between High-A and Double-A last year.
Mike Sirota went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one walk. He is working back from a right knee injury that ended his season last July.
Josue De Paula, the near-consensus No. 1 Dodgers prospect, reached on an RBI double off the left-field wall. He also drew two walks and finished with one hit.
Zyhir Hope added an RBI single and walked twice. Several young hitters reached base repeatedly in the tight win.
Outlook
The game served as an evaluation chance for the organization. Many players showed readiness for higher levels.
