Viral Video Forces Man to Deny He’s Jeffrey Epstein
A Florida man known online as “Palm Beach Pete” has drawn attention for his resemblance to Jeffrey Epstein. A viral video forced the man to publicly deny that he was Jeffrey Epstein. The clip circulated earlier this month and sparked wide social media debate.
Filmogaz.com published the story on 21 March 2026. The original post showed timestamps of 10:32 and an update at 10:51.
The viral clip on I-95
The short video was filmed on Interstate 95 in Florida. It shows a middle-aged man driving a drop-top convertible beside another vehicle.
The person filming can be heard shouting, “Epstein is alive!” The footage spread quickly across platforms.
Online reach
One follow-up clip from the driver has exceeded one million likes. The driver’s Instagram handle is not.epstein. He said his phone began “blowing up” after the video circulated.
Palm Beach Pete speaks out
In videos he posted, the man introduced himself as Palm Beach Pete. He thanked viewers for positive comments and insisted he is not Jeffrey Epstein.
He said he had been driving to town to play tennis and have lunch. He added that he was filmed without his knowledge.
Pete also emphasized that Epstein was a “very bad person” and that Epstein died in custody. He said he is alive and distinct from the late financier.
Public reaction and context
Comment sections filled quickly with disbelief and jokes. One user quipped, “This is his innocent twin Effrey Jepstein,” among many similar remarks.
Jeffrey Epstein was a convicted sex offender with reported connections to public figures. He died in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019, a death ruled a suicide but still a source of speculation.
Interest in the Epstein case has been sustained by recent document releases. The Department of Justice has shared materials under The Epstein Files Transparency Act enacted in November.
Where things stand
Despite the viral attention, Palm Beach Pete maintained the matter was a case of mistaken identity. He asked viewers to treat him as himself, not as the disgraced financier.
