NLC Expands Globally Amid Local Spirits Production Surge

The Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation (NLC) is experiencing significant growth in its manufacturing segment. According to Bruce Keating, the President and CEO of NLC, the company has expanded its production capabilities and is successfully entering international markets.

NLC’s Production Growth

During the third quarter of the year, the NLC’s manufacturing division reported an impressive performance. The division produced:

  • 76,000 cases of spirits, marking a 19% increase compared to the same period last year.
  • 5,000 cases of ready-to-drink products, including an array of wine and beer, which represents a remarkable 67% growth.

Factors Contributing to Expansion

The substantial increase in production is attributed to the introduction of new products and the establishment of production contracts. This strategic move has allowed NLC to cater to a broader market.

Global Reach

Additionally, NLC has successfully expanded its exports to over 30 countries. This notable global presence underscores the corporation’s commitment to growing its brand internationally.

Keating expressed optimism about the company’s achievements, stating, “That’s good news for the manufacturing team, and good news for the province.” This statement reflects NLC’s positive impact on local industry and the economy.

As NLC continues to capitalize on the surge in local spirits production, further growth and international expansion are anticipated in the coming months.
