Outstanding Contributions to Dance and Opera
Sir Wayne McGregor CBE has been awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Dance Award. Known for his groundbreaking work as a choreographer and director, McGregor has spent over 30 years redefining dance through innovative collaborations across various disciplines. - Betty Laine OBE: Founder and Principal Emerita of Laine Theatre Arts, recognized for over five decades of training performers.
- Linda Tolhurst: A Stage Door Keeper at the National Theatre for 46 years, she has become an essential connection between various theatre teams and visiting artists.
- David Wood OBE: Known as ‘the national children’s dramatist,’ Wood has written more than 75 plays for young audiences.
Justine Simons OBE, Deputy Mayor for Culture and the Creative Industries, praised the recipients for their vital contributions to London’s rich theatrical landscape. A Night of Celebration
All five honorees will receive their awards at the Olivier Awards with Cunard Tea Party at The Londoner Hotel on March 20.
