President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan spoke by phone on Saturday with Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; the crown prince expressed the Kingdom’s condemnation of the attacks and affirmed full solidarity with the UAE, saying Saudi Arabia is ready to provide all possible support in response to any measures taken by the UAE.

The UAE President expressed appreciation for the Kingdom’s firm stance and fraternal solidarity, and both leaders warned of the serious consequences of continued violations of state sovereignty and international law, calling such actions a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and undermines stability. They also urged restraint and the pursuit of diplomatic solutions to preserve the region’s security and stability.

The uae president also received calls on Saturday from leaders of the UK, Germany, Greece and Pakistan to discuss the recent military escalation and its impact on regional and international security.

Crown Prince called other Gulf leaders from Jeddah

From Jeddah, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman — referred to in one statement as Mohammed bin Salman — held phone calls on Saturday with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and Jordan’s King Abdullah II.

In those calls he affirmed the Kingdom’s full solidarity and support for the brotherly countries and stressed that Saudi Arabia is placing all its capabilities at their disposal to support any measures they take in response to the heinous Iranian attacks targeting their countries, which undermine the security and stability of the region.

UAE air defences intercepted missiles and drones

Authorities said the UAE air defence systems intercepted and destroyed a new wave of Iranian missiles and drones launched towards the country, noting the operation was carried out with high efficiency and without any significant material damage.

Schools move to distance learning; social clips flagged

UAE authorities announced all public and private schools and universities will move to distance learning from Monday, March 2, to Wednesday, March 4.
