Lisa Rinna Speaks Out on Alleged Roofying at ‘Traitors’ Premiere Party
lisa rinna says medical testing found fentanyl and high levels of amphetamines in her system after the Jan. 8 Season 4 premiere party for The Traitors. She described the results and the aftermath during an appearance on Good Day New York, and the venue has issued a formal response.
Lisa Rinna Details Test Results
On Good Day New York, lisa rinna told hosts Jerry O’Connell and Rosanna Scotto that she had fentanyl and amphetamines in her system following the Jan. 8 party. When asked if she was certain she’d been roofied, she said, "Yes, I was. I had fentanyl in my system. " She added: "I’m not kidding. I had fentanyl, high levels of amphetamines and other things. But I can’t talk a lot about it because we’re still dealing with it. It was leaked, and my team is dealing with it now. "
Party at The Abbey
The gathering took place at The Abbey in West Hollywood. Rinna has said others she knows — including her daughter's friends — have experienced similar incidents at the venue. "So many people that I know have had this happen at the Abbey. All my daughter’s friends. I mean, this is not a first-time thing. This is something that’s gone on for years. And I do think it needs to be a conversation. And I’m glad now that it’s out and we will deal with it. I just haven’t had my own time to do that yet, " she said.
Colton Underwood and the exit
At the event, Rinna’s Traitors Season 4 co-star Colton Underwood noticed she was "completely inebriated" despite not drinking much and became concerned. Colton was reportedly with her most of the night; he flagged the situation to Rinna’s team, who helped get her out of the venue after a group photo. Rinna has said she left the party and thanked her husband, Harry Hamlin, for helping her. A later item noted their on-again, off-again relationship may be strained: after filming and airing, Rinna and Underwood had a rivalry on the show and interpersonal history, and at a recent book signing she teased she may have said something at the Traitors reunion that upset Underwood, prompting him to unfollow her on social media.
Abbey statement and safety protocols
The Abbey released a written statement saying the venue conducted an internal review after Lisa’s team raised concerns. The statement reads: "Lisa’s team shared concerns with us following her visit, and we immediately conducted a thorough internal review.
When she became unwell, our security team assisted her and escorted her safely out of the venue. We pulled and reviewed all available surveillance footage from the time in question and interviewed staff on duty. We found no evidence of drink tampering or suspicious behavior toward her.
We cannot speak to medical findings and do not want to speculate about toxicology results. We take any report of a guest feeling unwell or unsafe extremely seriously and follow established investigative protocols.
Drink tampering is a crime. If any guest believes their drink has been compromised, we strongly encourage them to report it immediately, either to our management team so we can respond in real time, or directly to law enforcement if they prefer.
The Abbey has extensive surveillance coverage, trained security personnel, and ongoing drink-safety measures in place. Guest safety remains our highest priority. "
Memoir, Cohen and past disputes
Rinna discussed the alleged incident while promoting her memoir, You Better Believe I’m Going to Talk About It. She confirmed the test results were medical in nature and reiterated she could not name who she believed was responsible: "I can’t say [who did it], but it was at the Abbey in West Hollywood. "
The interview also touched on Rinna’s wider career and recent public disputes. She has appeared on Days of Our Lives, Melrose Place, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Dancing With the Stars. She was selected as one of the traitors on Season 4 of the Peacock series and was known on that season for her rivalry with Underwood and for clashing with fellow traitor Rob Rausch. The season finale airs Thursday night.
Rinna starred on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for eight seasons before departing the franchise in 2023. In her book she addresses a complicated history with Andy Cohen, saying she was upset after Cohen shared private text messages without her permission: "I was. " She recently returned to Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen for the first time in four years and described that appearance as unexpectedly positive. A photograph noted a visit with Andy Cohen to SiriusXM Studios on February 10, 2025.
Other items mentioned alongside coverage of Rinna included the death of Katherine Short at 42 and a postponed Martin Short and Steve Martin comedy show following that death.
It remains unclear if police were involved in the Abbey incident or if Rinna sought hospital treatment immediately after the party. Representatives for the parties mentioned were contacted previously with no public response noted.
Closing: lisa rinna says she will continue to deal with the matter through her team while the venue emphasizes its investigative protocols and guest-safety measures.
