Aj Styles to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame, Undertaker announces

After aj styles officially retired, Undertaker arrived to announce that The Phenomenal One would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. The announcement came amid a chaotic Raw that included an interrupted tribute, qualifying matches for the Elimination Chamber and a WrestleMania opponent reveal.

Aj Styles tribute interrupted

The tribute to aj styles was halted when Gunther interrupted the opening segment. Gunther interrupted Corey Graves and Michael Cole at the top of the show, taking exception to the tribute. Raw general manager Adam Pearce ordered Gunther out of the arena; The Ring General left under protest and was then ambushed by Dragon Lee for the second time in as many weeks. After the attack the two were separated backstage.

Cody Rhodes and The Vision clash

After they were separated backstage, former undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes appeared and made his way to the squared circle for the scheduled opening segment. The Vision, led by Paul Heyman, interrupted before Rhodes could speak. The Vision attempted to ambush Cody Rhodes, but they retreated when The American Nightmare received backup from World Tag Team Champions The Usos, who backed up Cody Rhodes against The Vision.

Triple threat Elimination Chamber qualifier

Jey Uso defeated Bronson Reed and the "Original" El Grande Americano in a Triple Threat Match to qualify for the Elimination Chamber. The Vision’s Bronson Reed, World Tag Team Champion Jey Uso and El Grande Americano clashed for the final spot in the Elimination Chamber match. Americano showcased his immense strength by taking Reed out with an enormous German suplex. At one point Reed appeared to suffer a wrist or forearm injury that would take him out of the contest and require medical attention at ringside. With the battle down to Uso and Americano, Uso uncorked a spear and delivered an Uso Splash to pick up the win and cash his ticket to Chicago.

Jey Uso headed to Elimination Chamber

Jey Uso is headed to the Elimination Chamber on Saturday for a shot at headlining WrestleMania in a world title match for the second consecutive year. The reigning world tag team champion with his brother Jimmy Uso overcame the technical skill of the masked El Grande Americano and the raw power of Bronson Reed to secure the qualifying victory. Last time in action entries noted that Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso and LA Knight lost to Bronson Reed, Logan Paul and Austin Theory on Raw, February 16, and that El Grande Americano and Je'Von Evans defeated Los Americanos on Raw, February 9.

Liv Morgan picks WrestleMania opponent

Women's Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan, flanked by beau Dominik Mysterio, revealed which champion she will challenge at WrestleMania 42. Mysterio called out both Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer and WWE women's champion Jade Cargill. Morgan apologized to La Primera and said that at WrestleMania 42 it is about telling her story. She then blasted Stephanie Vaquer with the microphone, beat her down and left her lying following an ObLIVion.

Nattie stops Maxxine Dupri

Nattie defeated Maxxine Dupri referee stoppage after ruthlessly knocking Maxxine Dupri out at ringside. Earlier notes list that Nattie and Maxxine Dupri fought to a double count-out on Raw, February 9, and that Nattie attacked Maxxine from the opening bell in this encounter.

The February 23 show at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta combined the announcement that aj styles would be headed for the Hall of Fame with qualifying outcomes for the Elimination Chamber and a set-up for multiple WrestleMania storylines. Raquel Rodriguez and Jey Uso qualified for the Elimination Chamber, and the episode closed with long-term angles altered by the night's interruptions and confrontations.
