Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams on the red carpet
Paul Mescal, nominated in the Supporting Actor category for his role in Hamnet, arrived on the carpet with his partner, musician Gracie Abrams. The couple, who have been dating publicly since 2024, had made an earlier red-carpet debut this week at a London screening of Paul McCartney - Man on The Run; the BAFTAs marked a more glamorous second outing. On the carpet they laughed and gazed into one another's eyes, and Mescal rested his hand on Gracie's lower back.
Winners of the night: Aramayo, One Battle After Another and Jessie Buckley
Robert Aramayo capped a strong night for British cinema by taking both best newcomer and best actor at the 2026 BAFTAs. One Battle After Another won best film. Hamnet also saw success, with Jessie Buckley winning best actress among the film's accolades. Outstanding debut by a British writer, director or producer was also listed among the ceremony's recognitions.
Other red-carpet couples and nominees
All eyes were on Timothee Chalamet, who was nominated in the Leading Actor category for Marty Supreme; fans waited to see if he would walk the carpet with his "partner of three years", Kylie Jenner. Timothee walked the carpet alone, looking serious and dapper in a black suit. Kylie joined him inside the ceremony, wearing a black dress to match his suit, her dark hair long and straight, and she held tightly onto Timothee's hand once inside.
Kate Hudson and her musician husband Danny Fujikawa — together for almost a decade — took the carpet hand-in-hand, with Hudson -making backless red gown with a billowing skirt and Fujikawa in a suit. Jesse Plemons and Kirsten Dunst shared a joke on the carpet; Plemons is nominated for Leading Actor in Bugonia, while Dunst attended to support her husband. White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood and her actor boyfriend Adam Long posed together. Rose Byrne, nominated in the Leading Actress category for If I Had Legs I'd Kicked you, arrived with her husband Bobby Cannavale; Byrne channelled a Disney Princess in a lemon yellow dress with glittering detail. Milly Alcock and her boyfriend Joseph Powell were noted for their achingly fashionable suits on the carpet.
