Peter Crouch: Abbey Clancy declares 'it knocks me sick' as peter crouch shares 'guilty' confession
On the Therapy Crouch podcast, peter crouch and Abbey Clancy traded barbed, candid asides about manscaping and names. Abbey said a particular physical trait "knocks" her "sick" and Peter admitted he had "been guilty of that. "
Peter Crouch on manscaping and names
During an episode of the Therapy Crouch podcast on Thursday (February 19), Peter said: "I think a man should be manscaped in this day and age, " a view Liverpool-born Abbey agreed with. Abbey said: "I do, and also long underarm hair that's like five inches long. It just knocks me sick. " Peter responded: "I've been guilty of that. You've told me a few times. " Abbey added: "Yes, you have, and it's pin straight, pin straight and like that long. "
Abbey Clancy's grooming comments
Abbey also expressed distaste for hairy backs and identified another part of the body she prefers to be groomed. Peter conceded some of those issues himself, saying: "I only notice it when I go on holiday, and the other one is hairy nips. Well not... I only get like two really long hairs. " When it was suggested such hairs can resemble "spider's legs, " Peter said they "gotta go. " He continued with a holiday anecdote: "You don't think about it, and then you go on holiday and go, 'Ooh, god, yeah, I'm on holiday', and you go, 'Ooh f*****g hell. '"
Hotel mix-ups and surnames
In related conversation, Peter explained why his wife of 15 years still uses her maiden name while noting she is "legally" registered as Crouch. He recounted being mistakenly addressed as "Mr Clancy" by hotel staff and called that treatment "quite emasculating. " He described the experience: "Well, you know, it's quite emasculating, I think, when... it certainly happens to me when I... sometimes, if I've booked a hotel. 'Oh, I'll ring down and then, like, usually in a different country, and they'll call me Mr Clancy. I've been called Mr Clancy on a few occasions. It's not... I don't like it at all. It makes me feel slightly... yeah, not great. '"
What 'Clancy' means to them
When it was suggested Abbey "wouldn't be Abbey Crouch, " Peter noted she is "legally" a Crouch, but "everyone just calls her Clancy. " It was pointed out that Clancy was "like a work name, " and Peter said it meant people knew "who she was. "
