Dazn and Matchroom Boxing extend rights through 2031 with new five-year deal
Matchroom Boxing has signed a five-year extension with streaming service dazn that will keep Matchroom’s worldwide shows on the platform through 2031, a pact that calls for more than 30 events per year and reinforces Matchroom’s place among the sport’s top promoters.
Dazn will carry more than 30 Matchroom shows a year
The extended agreement covers a year-round schedule of more than 30 events worldwide each year and continues a relationship that began with an 8-year, $1 billion U. S. TV deal signed in 2018 and a five-year partnership in the UK in 2021. Matchroom said the new five-year deal preserves the global reach Matchroom has used to promote shows in territories including Mexico and Saudi Arabia.
Australia deal adds an eight-show package for 2026
As part of the announcement, Matchroom confirmed an eight-show deal for 2026 with Foxtel, the Australian pay television company recently acquired by the streaming group. that arrangement will make several major Matchroom cards available to Australian audiences through Foxtel’s platforms in 2026.
Matchroom roster and what the extension secures
The deal keeps Matchroom’s stable of fighters—names listed by Matchroom include Anthony Joshua, Katie Taylor, Dmitry Bivol, Jesse "Bam" Rodriguez, Jaron "Boots" Ennis, Conor Benn, Dalton Smith, Ben Whittaker, Lewis Crocker, Josh Kelly and Eduardo "Sugar" Nunez—anchored to the broadcaster through 2031. The announcement also noted that Matchroom joins Zuffa Boxing as one of two U. S. promoters holding long-term media rights deals that run to 2031.
Eddie Hearn commented on the partnership’s fit for Matchroom, saying: "DAZN is the only partner that matches our ambitions for boxing. Their global platform, investment, passion and commitment to boxing make them the perfect partner for Matchroom Boxing’s fighters and events. "
The extension formalizes a schedule that combines live premium events with year-round original content intended to support Matchroom cards and fighter storylines.
Matchroom’s next confirmed milestone under the new agreement is the eight-show Foxtel package for 2026; worldwide Matchroom programming will remain on the platform through 2031.
