James Pearce Jr., a linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons, is at the center of a serious legal situation following an alleged altercation involving WNBA player Rickea Jackson. According to police reports, Pearce Jr. intentionally struck an officer with his Lamborghini while trying to evade arrest.

Incident Overview

The events unfolded on February 7. Rickea Jackson reported to the police that she and Pearce Jr. had recently ended a three-year relationship. She indicated that she had blocked his number in an effort to prevent further contact, but Pearce Jr. used a different phone to continue reaching out to her.

Details of the Encounter

As Jackson was leaving an apartment complex, she spotted Pearce Jr.’s Lamborghini behind her. Concerned for her safety, she attempted to escape but found herself at a red light. At that moment, Pearce Jr. allegedly approached her vehicle and tried to open her door.

Feeling threatened, Jackson drove toward the Doral City Police Department. However, Pearce Jr. was undeterred and reportedly collided with the rear of her car intentionally. The situation escalated when he cut her off again and caused a head-on crash.

Police Response

When law enforcement arrived, they drew their weapons and commanded Pearce Jr. to exit the vehicle. However, he ignored their orders and locked his door. In an attempt to evade arrest, Pearce Jr. allegedly struck an officer in the left knee before driving away.

Pearce Jr. made his first court appearance from jail in Miami, where a bond was set at $20,500 and a stay-away order was issued against him. As of now, neither Pearce Jr. nor Jackson has publicly commented on the situation.
