Steep Canyon Rangers Unveil New Album ‘Next Act’ for May Release

The Steep Canyon Rangers, a prominent bluegrass band, are set to release their new album, Next Act, on May 22, under Yep Roc Records. This album marks their 15th studio project and promises a return to their musical roots.

New Single Release

The band has introduced a new track titled “Heart’s the Only Compass,” featuring renowned actor and musician Steve Martin. Songwriter Graham Sharp reflects on the themes of personal history and choices in the song. He notes the unpredictability of life, suggesting that past generations faced similar dilemmas. “Follow your heart,” he advises, highlighting the timeless nature of this mantra.

Next Act is produced by Mike Ashworth, alongside the band itself and recorded by Julian Dreyer. The album also features collaborations with notable artists:

In support of Next Act, the Steep Canyon Rangers will embark on a 27-date tour starting in February. This tour will feature multiple performances, including:
