Easter Weekend Events Unveiled in Salford
As schools in Salford break for the holidays, families can plan a busy Easter weekend. This guide unveils Easter weekend activities across Salford for all ages.
Church services and worship
Salford Cathedral on Chapel Street will stage Holy Week services. A burial of Christ ceremony is scheduled for Good Friday at 7pm.
The cathedral will hold an Easter vigil on Saturday at 8pm. Easter Sunday Holy Mass takes place at 11am.
St James’ Church (Hope) on Eccles Old Road will join Salford Elim Church for a Good Friday service at 10:30am. Its Easter Vigil is on Saturday at 6pm, and the Sunday service starts at 9:30am.

Kargo MKT family rave
BOOMCHIKKABOOM will host a family rave at Kargo MKT on Good Friday. The session runs from 10am to 12pm.
The event targets children aged 0–10. Free tickets are required for adults and children and must be reserved in advance.
Salford Annual Duck Race
The duck race returns to Salford Quays on Good Friday. Activities run from 12:30pm until 4pm, with the race starting at 3pm.
Members of the public can sponsor a duck for £2.50 to compete for prizes. The fairground, food stalls and live entertainment will run alongside the race.
Ordsall Hall Easter Chick Hunt
Ordsall Hall is hosting an Easter Chick Hunt until 16 April. The trail runs every day except Fridays and Saturdays.

Salford Rangers Easter hunts
Salford Rangers will hold Easter hunts across local parks. The first hunt is at Clifton Country Park on 3 April.
Subsequent hunts will take place at Blackleach Country Park, Worsley Woods and Dukes Drive in Monton. These events are free to attend.
RHS Bridgewater Easter mystery
RHS Bridgewater offers an Easter Bunny mystery trail. Children receive a detective pack with puzzles and colouring activities.
Detective packs cost £3. Those who solve the clues receive a chocolate bunny and can book packs online.
