Take-Two Boosts Forecast, Confirms November Release of “Grand Theft Auto 6”

Take-Two Interactive has recently boosted its financial forecast while confirming the much-anticipated release date of “Grand Theft Auto 6.” The news comes following the company’s fiscal third-quarter report, revealing a strong performance.

Financial Performance and Bookings

In its latest earnings report, Take-Two revealed net bookings of $1.76 billion. This figure shows a 28% increase compared to the same quarter last year. Analysts had predicted a lower amount of $1.58 billion, making the results a notable overachievement.

The company previously projected Q3 net bookings between $1.55 billion and $1.6 billion. Due to the positive performance, Take-Two raised its full-year bookings forecast to between $6.65 billion and $6.7 billion. This adjustment surpasses Wall Street’s average estimate of $6.47 billion.

Net Loss Guidance Adjustments

Take-Two also revised its guidance on full-year net loss. The new estimate now ranges from $369 million to $338 million, an improvement from the previous range of $414 million to $349 million.

Release Date for “Grand Theft Auto 6”

On an exciting note for gamers, Take-Two confirmed that “Grand Theft Auto 6” will be released on November 19, 2026. The highly awaited title’s release date was previously pushed from May 2026 to the new date, which has been reaffirmed in this latest report. The last trailer for the game was released in May 2025, and fans are eagerly anticipating further updates.

Market Reactions and Future Outlook

Although Take-Two’s stock rose about 4% in after-hours trading, it has faced challenges in the market. Since the introduction of Google’s Project Genie, a tool for generating interactive worlds, Take-Two’s market capitalization has decreased by nearly $6 billion. Investors have reacted negatively to these developments, despite analysts deeming the concerns unwarranted.
