Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor Relocates to Temporary Home Ahead of Marsh Farm Move

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is poised to leave Royal Lodge, his residence for the past 24 years, within days. Initially slated to relocate directly to Marsh Farm, his plans have shifted. He will first move to Wood Farm, another property on the Sandringham Estate.

Temporary Move to Wood Farm

Wood Farm, constructed in traditional Norfolk style, features reddish-brown bricks and expansive lawns. This five-bedroom home was favored by Andrew’s late father, Prince Philip. The Duke of Edinburgh often retreated there for relaxation, engaging in hobbies such as reading and painting.

  • Location: Sandringham Estate
  • Bedrooms: 5
  • Previous Occupant: Prince Philip
  • Usage: Quiet family gatherings

This property also holds significance for Andrew’s family. It was a place where his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, stayed during Christmas with their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

Renovations at Marsh Farm

While Andrew was expected to move to Marsh Farm by the end of January, renovations are still ongoing. Improvements include heightened security measures, such as six-foot wooden fences and a newly installed CCTV system. A no-fly zone has also been established around Sandringham, expanding to encompass Marsh Farm.

Recently, a pest control van was seen at the site. Command Pest Control, known for humane rodent control, tends to handle issues with rats and mice that may arise, especially given the estate’s “no cats” policy for residents.

Background on Andrew’s Situation

This relocation follows Andrew’s eviction from Royal Lodge due to his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. As a result, he has been stripped of numerous royal titles.

On January 18, The Times reported that he would temporarily occupy Wood Farm until Marsh Farm is ready. An official announcement stated, “His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles, and Honours of Prince Andrew.” He will henceforth be known as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
