The latest data reveals that petrol prices in the UK have reached their most affordable levels in nearly five years. Asda has emerged as the top contender among major supermarkets, undercutting rivals like Morrisons, Tesco, and Sainsbury’s.
Current Petrol Prices at Supermarkets
Asda currently offers petrol at a price of 122.7 pence per litre. This is significantly lower than competitors:
- Morrisons: 129.2p per litre
- Tesco: 129.7p per litre
- Sainsbury’s: 129.8p per litre
The average cost of petrol across UK forecourts is now at 131.9p per litre. This decrease brings some relief to household budgets during a time of rising living costs.
