A tragic plane crash occurred on Tuesday morning in the Payette River near Emmett, Idaho. The incident claimed the lives of two male passengers, as confirmed by the Gem County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash took place in the Black Canyon area, where the aircraft reportedly collided with a power line before plummeting onto an icy section of the river. Among the deceased was Roland Steadham, known for his position as Chief Meteorologist at CBS 2 Boise. The identity of the second victim has not yet been released.
