At just 19 years old, Rayan has already made a significant impact in Brazilian football. He is a product of the Vasco da Gama academy and became the youngest player in the club’s history to debut in the senior team in 2023, at the age of 16 years and over five months.

Moving to Bournemouth
Rayan has signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with Bournemouth, which reflects the club’s confidence in his potential. Tiago Pinto, the president of football operations for Bournemouth, stated, “Rayan is a player we have followed closely and who has already shown impressive consistency and maturity for his age.”
Contract Details and Future Potential
Initially, Rayan extended his contract with Vasco in December, which was set to run until 2028. Despite this, his transition to the Premier League marks a new chapter in his career. Rayan has also represented Brazil at the under-20 level, further showcasing his talent on an international stage.
Club Dynamics and Recent Transfers
Bournemouth recently experienced the departure of their top scorer, Antoine Semenyo, who transferred to Manchester City for £62.5 million ($84 million) in January. To bolster their squad, they also signed Alex Toth, a 20-year-old midfielder from Ferencvaros, who made his debut in a thrilling 3-2 victory against Liverpool.
Bournemouth is optimistic that Rayan will make a significant impact in the Premier League, as the club seeks to solidify its position in competitive football.
