Samsung Unveils Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Ultra in Korea

Samsung has officially unveiled its latest laptops, the Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Galaxy Book 6 Ultra, in South Korea. These models were first announced at CES 2026 earlier this month. Notably, they are Samsung’s first devices to utilize cutting-edge 18A (1.8nm) chips, enhancing both performance and energy efficiency.

Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Ultra Specifications

The Galaxy Book 6 Pro comes in two display sizes: 14-inch and 16-inch. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra is available only in a 16-inch configuration. Both laptops feature a modern aesthetic, offered in gray and silver colors.

  • The Galaxy Book 6 Pro pricing starts at KRW 2.6 million (~$1,803) and can go up to KRW 3.51 million (~$2,434).
  • For the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra, prices begin at KRW 4.62 million (~$3,204) and can reach KRW 4.91 million (~$3,405).

Launch Promotions and Buyer Benefits

From January 27 to March 31, customers purchasing the Galaxy Book 6 series can enjoy a range of promotional benefits. Buyers will receive a limited-edition backpack designed with British brand Hunter. Both laptops boast QD-OLED displays, delivering 3K resolution (2,880 x 1,800 pixels) and peak HDR brightness of up to 1,000 nits. They support a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz and feature sturdy Corning Gorilla Glass with DXC protection and an anti-reflective coating.

The audio experience is significantly upgraded with a six-speaker system that encompasses four woofers and two tweeters. In contrast, the 14-inch Galaxy Book 6 Pro features a quad-speaker system with similar configuration.

  • The laptops include large, centrally aligned haptic trackpads, a first for the Galaxy Book series.
  • The backlit keyboards ensure usability in dim environments.

Powering the Galaxy Book 6 lineup are the Intel Core Ultra Processor Series 3 chips, with a minimum of 16GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Pro model utilizes Intel Arc graphics, while the Ultra version can be outfitted with Nvidia RTX 5060 or RTX 5070 GPUs, with the base version employing integrated Intel Arc graphics.

Charging capabilities vary: the Pro model supports 65W charging, while the Ultra, depending on its configuration, supports up to 140W charging.
