As Victoria faces soaring temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius, towns in the Moorabool area are experiencing significant power outages. Power outages have been reported across several communities, prompting investigations into the underlying causes.

According to Powercor, a total of 582 customers in Darley are currently without power. Additional outages have been noted in:
- Coimadai: 181 customers
- Merrimu: 103 customers
- Long Forest: 66 customers
- Bacchus Marsh: 27 customers
- Bullengarook: 23 customers
- Toolern Vale: 4 customers
Restoration Efforts
Energy crews are actively working to determine the cause of these outages. Powercor has communicated that they expect to restore power to affected areas by 6 PM tonight.
