Apple Plans Dual MacBook Pro Upgrades This Year
Apple is gearing up for a significant year with plans to release dual upgrades to the MacBook Pro line. According to insights from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, several new models, including the MacBook Air, Mac Studio, and Studio Display, are set to debut in the first half of the year.
Upcoming MacBook Pro Models
Apple’s MacBook Pro lineup will see upgrades in 2023, featuring two major releases. The first will introduce the new MacBook Pro equipped with M5 Pro and M5 Max chips, expected to be unveiled shortly. Later in this cycle, a redesigned version is anticipated, potentially arriving in late 2026, though early 2027 remains a possibility.

In addition to hardware upgrades, Apple is reportedly developing a new Studio Display. Speculated features include:
- Mini-LED backlighting
- ProMotion support of up to a 120Hz refresh rate
- HDR support
- A19 or A19 Pro chip integration
Last month, a next-generation Studio Display was potentially identified in a Chinese regulatory database, hinting at its upcoming release.
Future Apple Products
Furthermore, Apple is working on a lower-cost MacBook powered by a special variant of the A18 Pro chip from the iPhone 16 Pro. An updated Mac mini is also on the horizon for release later this year, broadening Apple’s product offerings.
