A rising star, Mboko was named WTA Newcomer of the Year last year. She gained prominence in 2025 after defeating Naomi Osaka in the final of the Canadian Open held in Montreal. This marks her debut at the Australian Open, following her participation in other Grand Slam tournaments last year.
