Coleen mourns the passing of her sisters, particularly Linda, who died in January 2025. Linda was 65 years old at the time of her passing, a result of complications from double pneumonia, following a long battle with breast cancer. She had been first diagnosed in 2005, achieved remission in 2011, but faced a relapse in 2017.
Bernie, another of Coleen’s sisters, passed away due to breast cancer in 2013 at the age of 52. The emotional toll of these losses is significant, as Coleen emphasized that reuniting The Nolans without her sisters would feel incomplete and painful.
Finding Strength in Challenging Times
In her personal journey, Coleen has embraced physical activity as a way to cope. She manages a smallholding in Staffordshire, housing approximately 30 animals. This venture has contributed to her physical fitness and provided her with a sense of purpose. “It’s real manual labour lifting hay bales, so I get my exercise from that,” she shared.
A Aspirations for the Future
Despite the challenges she faces, Coleen retains hope for her professional aspirations. She has long desired to participate in the popular dance competition, Strictly Come Dancing. However, she notes that her efforts to get on the show have not yet been realized.
“I’ve always wanted to do Strictly. They’ve never asked me,” she lamented, reflecting on her enthusiasm and past experiences in television.
