In a series of Instagram Stories on January 19, 2023, Brooklyn clarified allegations that his mother did not design Nicola’s wedding dress for their April 2022 ceremony.
Budding Tension Over Wedding Dress Design
Brooklyn Beckham shared that Victoria canceled her plans to create Nicola’s wedding dress shortly before the event. He stated, “My mum cancelled making Nicola’s dress in the eleventh hour despite how excited she was to wear her design, forcing her to urgently find a new dress.” Nicola ultimately wore a custom Valentino gown designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli, which was developed over a year of discussions between them, including two trips to Valentino’s headquarters in Rome.
Nicola’s Response to the Rumors
In an interview with the Sunday Times, Nicola denied any feud with the Beckham family. She attributed the speculation to her choosing not to wear a design from Victoria Beckham’s fashion label. “The real truth is, I really wanted to wear it,” she remarked.
