Bloomington House Fire Claims Two Lives
Early on Sunday morning, a tragic house fire in Bloomington claimed the lives of two individuals and injured three others. This incident took place around 2:40 a.m. on the 3800 block of East Anderson Road.

Multiple calls alerted the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office and the Monroe County Fire Protection District about the fire. Upon their arrival, responders discovered a car had collided with an attached garage, which was engulfed in flames.

Emergency personnel encountered a severely burned individual who had escaped the fire. This person, along with another survivor, was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital, later being transferred to a facility in Indianapolis for further treatment.
