Voting Leaders and Format Changes
Luka Dončić of the Los Angeles Lakers and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks are currently leading the fan voting in their respective conferences. As fans eagerly await the list of starters, they should note that the All-Star reserves will be revealed later.

New Team Format for All-Star 2026
The upcoming All-Star Game will feature an innovative format. Teams will be divided into two U.S. teams and one international team, known as the World team. This new structure will consist of:
- Four 12-minute games in a round-robin format
- A minimum of eight players per team
In total, 24 All-Stars (12 from each conference) will participate. Selection criteria have also evolved. Fan votes will account for 50%, while current NBA players and media sources will contribute 25% each. NBA head coaches will select the seven reserves from each conference.
This year’s selections will disregard traditional player positions. The criteria for determining team assignments for the U.S. players remain to be announced.
