Daytime outlook
Scattered showers and storms are possible at times. Some communities may remain dry while others receive multiple downpours.
Highs will sit around 80 degrees. That is roughly 20 degrees above average for this time of year.
Severe weather risk
The Storm Prediction Center has placed the area in a marginal risk for severe storms. This is category 1 of 5 on the SPC scale.
There is a window for strong to severe storms from late afternoon into the evening. A strong cold front will trigger the highest chances.
Tonight and Saturday
Tonight will trend drier and remain mild. Lows are expected in the mid 60s.
Saturday will start with only a chance for morning rain. Showers will likely increase in the afternoon with isolated thunderstorms.
Saturday night into Easter Sunday
Showers and a few thunderstorms may persist before midnight. Temperatures will fall into the low to mid 40s overnight.
Cold air behind the front will make Easter Sunday noticeably cooler. Highs should reach only the mid to upper 50s, with clearing beginning early.
