Filmogaz.com reports that Netflix has acquired exclusive digital rights to Shah Rukh Khan’s King. Industry sources say the film breaks OTT record with a landmark streaming deal.

King was made on a reported budget of Rs. 400 crore. A trade source told Filmogaz.com that Pen Marudhar bought theatrical rights for Rs. 250 crore.

The film is co-written and directed by Siddharth Anand. It is produced by Gauri Khan, Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand.
Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures are listed as production banners. Principal photography began in May 2025 in Mumbai and Warsaw.
Cast
The action thriller stars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The ensemble also includes Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan and Anil Kapoor.
Abhay Verma and Arshad Warsi are part of the cast. Several familiar faces round out the supporting lineup.
Release and context
The film is slated for a theatrical release on December 24, 2026. Sources note that Shah Rukh Khan’s banner has a long relationship with the distributor.
