Illinois Struck by Five Tornadoes in Friday’s Storms

The National Weather Service confirmed five tornadoes across Illinois during Friday’s storms. Officials said the twisters struck multiple communities in the state.

Confirmed tornadoes and locations

Three tornadoes were recorded in Winnebago County. They affected areas near Pecatonica, Harrison and Roscoe.

Two other touchdowns were confirmed near Gibson City and Buckley. All confirmations came from NWS storm surveys.
