Jamie Sullivan has quickly become a standout presence on the Monster Jam circuit. The 25-year-old Florida native drives the Unicorn-themed Sparkle Smash truck. Training for the tour

Sullivan auditioned for Monster Jam in 2022. She then attended Monster Jam University in Paxton, Illinois. The program includes simulators, trick training, and media coaching.

She noted the trucks’ unique steering. All four wheels turn, with front wheels on the steering wheel and rear wheels on a right-side toggle. That setup requires new coordination compared with race cars.

Monster Jam career milestones

Sullivan made her Monster Jam debut in January 2023. For her first two seasons she drove Monster Mutt Dalmatian. That truck was previously piloted by Cynthia Gauthier, one of Sullivan’s role models.

Sparkle Smash began as a popular toy in 2019. The truck made its Monster Jam debut in 2024. The unicorn vehicle has since expanded to five Sparkle Smash trucks on tour, joining long-standing attractions like Grave Digger.
