  • Indiana: St. Joseph, northwestern Fulton, eastern Pulaski, Starke, Marshall, and LaPorte counties

Risk levels and primary hazards

A large cold front will move through the area tonight. That boundary raises the risk for severe storms across the region.

Forecasters say damaging straight-line winds present the largest hazard. Isolated tornadoes and pockets of damaging hail remain possible.

Storm chances return Friday night as the front approaches. The current Tornado Warning is set to expire at 1:15 a.m.

Temperatures will fall sharply Saturday. Readings are expected in the 40s and 50s during the day.

Daytime rain chances on Saturday are low. Residents should remain cautious tonight while the severe threat persists.
