Newcastle Gogglebox Star Transforms Years After Childhood Debut
A Newcastle native and former Gogglebox star has transformed visibly years after her childhood debut. Scarlett Moffatt first became known to viewers while appearing on Channel 4 with her parents.
Early television years
Scarlett joined Gogglebox in 2014 alongside her mother, Betty, and father, Mark. Her younger sister, Ava-Grace, also made a brief appearance on the show at age seven.
Departure and reality success
Scarlett left the show in 2016. That same year she competed in and won the I’m A Celebrity series.
Family exit and reaction
In 2017 Scarlett revealed the family had been removed from Gogglebox. She said they were disappointed to leave the programme but remained supportive of the show and fellow cast members.

Sister Ava-Grace today
Scarlett is 15 years older than Ava-Grace. In 2024 Scarlett posted a series of photos marking Ava-Grace’s 18th birthday on Instagram.
Ava-Grace has taken a different path from her sister. She moved into higher education and is studying archaeology at university.
