Whittaker Vows to Unveil Suarez’s ‘Platypus Feet, Roblox Head’

Late change elevates the bout

Callum Smith withdrew through injury. His absence promoted Whittaker’s match with Braian Suarez to the main event.

DAZN will stream the card worldwide at 7 p.m. BST. The switch gives Whittaker a bigger stage.

Ben Whittaker: 10-0-1, 7 KOs. He is 28 years old and won Olympic silver in 2020.
Braian Suarez: 21-4, 20 KOs. He is 34 and brings a high knockout rate.

Whittaker signed with Matchroom Boxing in October. Since then, he has made one ring appearance.

That lone outing provided less than a round of competitive action. He trains under Andy Lee.

Whittaker vows to be active and make a clear statement on Saturday. He has described Suarez with mocking imagery.

Specifically, he said he will expose Suarez’s “platypus feet” and “Roblox head” during the fight. The remarks have added spice to the build-up.

Suarez pushed Lyndon Arthur in November 2023. He floored Arthur before being stopped in the 10th round.

He insists his pressure and durability will trouble Whittaker. Suarez says the sleeper project will end this weekend.

Whittaker is seen as a fast-rising light heavyweight prospect. Top names have begun to single him out.

David Morrell even wondered whether Whittaker could replace Smith this weekend. Whittaker, however, remains focused on Braian Suarez first.
