“Dancing with the Stars’ Carrie Ann Inaba Hospitalized After In-Flight Emergency”
Carrie Ann Inaba was rushed to a hospital after a sudden medical episode aboard a flight to New York. She shared the experience in an Instagram post on April 16, including video footage of her ambulance transport.
What happened on the plane
The 58-year-old judge said she suddenly felt very ill while airborne. She described symptoms that included cold sweats, dizziness and numbness in her arms.
She initially suspected food poisoning. Her blood pressure dropped, and turbulence complicated the situation.
Onboard assistance
Inaba said flight attendants and a doctor on the plane assisted her. A fellow passenger also helped during the in-flight emergency.
She remained in the airplane restroom during some of the episode because crew members were instructed to be seated. When her arms lost feeling, she asked for further help.
Hospital care and recovery
Paramedics met the aircraft on landing and transported her to the hospital. She received fluids and follow-up care before being released.
Inaba reported resting at a hotel afterward. She said she is recuperating and eager to resume advocacy work soon.
Health background
Inaba has publicly managed Sjogren’s disease, an autoimmune condition. She noted that she usually travels with a health kit and handles most issues herself.
Career and upcoming plans
She has been a judge on Dancing with the Stars since 2005. Inaba is expected to appear at the inaugural Dancing with the Stars Con 26 this summer.
