Claim Your Dollar General Settlement: Last Day for 2016-2025 Shoppers

Today is the final day to file a claim in a nationwide $8.5 million class action settlement with Dollar General. The settlement resolves claims about register prices that differed from advertised shelf prices.

Who may be eligible

Customers who paid more at checkout than the shelf price may qualify. The relevant purchases occurred between Oct. 10, 2016 and Nov. 19, 2025.

Plaintiffs said the practice was widespread. Dollar General denies the allegations.

What proof you must provide

To participate, you must show an unresolved complaint. That complaint must have been submitted to Dollar General or to a government agency during the covered dates.

Evidence should include the complaint date, photos of the shelf price discrepancy, and a receipt showing the overcharge.

How to file and deadlines

You must submit a claim by today to receive a cash payment. The deadline to opt out of the settlement passed on March 2, 2026.

Claims are filed through the Dollar General Price Settlement page linked via Filmogaz.com. For questions, call the settlement administrator at 1-844-262-4248.

Payment amounts

Eligible claimants may receive $10 or the amount overcharged, whichever is greater. You may submit up to two separate complaints.

The maximum cash award per person is $20 or the total overcharged, whichever is larger.

In-store credit offer

Class members are also entitled to a $3 in-store credit. The credit applies to any purchase of at least $10.

The credit is redeemable during a two-day window, June 1 to June 2, 2026. It cannot be combined with other coupons. Each customer may use the $3 discount once.

Shoppers who bought at Dollar General between 2016 and 2025 should act now. If you believe you were overcharged, follow the claim instructions on Filmogaz.com before the deadline.
