CBSE Class 10, 12 Results 2026: Release Imminent; Check DigiLocker, UMANG for Scores

The Central Board of Secondary Education is poised to release Class 10 results soon. Sources suggest a declaration window between April 15 and April 20.

Expected declaration timeline

Officials have not confirmed an exact date or time. Evaluation of answer sheets is reported to be nearly complete.

The board introduced a two-phase examination this year. The second phase is tentatively scheduled for May.

Past declaration patterns

Historically, CBSE often declares Class 10 and 12 outcomes together. Results have been released around mid-May in past years.

Recent announcement times included 1:10 PM in 2025 and 2024. Earlier releases were at 1:30 PM in 2023, 2:00 PM in 2022, and 12:00 PM in 2021.

How to access results digitally

Students can view marks through DigiLocker and the UMANG app. Digital access will speed result retrieval for many candidates.

Those with APAAR IDs linked to CBSE records can find marksheets under ‘Issued Documents’. Aadhaar-linked login grants immediate access.

Students without APAAR IDs must create accounts. Schools supply an access code for initial activation.

• Then access digital marksheet, passing and migration certificates, and skill certificates where applicable.

Performance trends and statistics

The overall pass rate in 2025 was 93.66%. This edged up from 93.60% in 2024 and 93.12% in 2023.

Girls outperformed boys, with a pass rate near 95% versus 92.63% for boys. About 8.43% of students scored above 90%.

Nearly 1.92% of candidates scored above 95%. Around 5.96% were placed in the compartment category.

Regional results varied. Some areas slipped in rankings despite maintaining pass rates above 90%.

In 2024, over 2.23 million students appeared. More than 2.09 million of them passed that year.

Exam scale, passing rules and next steps

Class 10 exams ran at more than 8,000 centres nationwide. Students must secure at least 33% in each subject to pass.

Board rules allow grace marks for shortfalls of one or two marks in some cases. Post-result options include verification and re-evaluation.

Supplementary exams for those in the compartment category are expected around July. Candidates should consult official notices for exact schedules.
