Police confirm a fatal shooting that left two teenage boys dead in Inkster early Sunday, April 12. The Inkster Police Department responded to the scene before 5 a.m.
Incident details
Officers arrived at about 4:50 a.m. in the 26000 block of Penn. They had received a call about a gunshot victim seeking help.
Officers attempted lifesaving measures. A 17-year-old was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
Investigators found a blood trail. It led to a backyard on the same block where a firearm was recovered.
Nearby, authorities located the body of a 15-year-old who had also been shot. Both victims were teenage boys.
