Fife’s Best Primary Schools Identified in 2026 Data Report
Filmogaz.com outlines the top primary school results for Fife from the latest Scottish league table. The ranking assessed 1,197 primary schools across Scotland.
How the ranking was calculated
Schools submitted percentages of pupils meeting standards in reading, writing, numeracy and combined listening-and-talking. Each subject contributed to a maximum combined score of 400.
The league table applies an uplift for schools with larger proportions of deprived pupils. This adjustment recognises achievement despite socioeconomic challenge.
Top performers in Fife
Two Fife schools achieved the maximum score of 400. Auchtermuchty Primary School and Wormit Primary School both recorded perfect marks in all categories.
Nationally, those schools placed 33rd and 34th respectively. Both attained 100 in reading, writing, numeracy and listening-and-talking.

Other high-ranking Fife schools
Three Fife primaries scored 390. Lundin Mill Primary, Tayport Primary and St John’s R C Primary ranked 132nd, 133rd and 134th nationally.
A further five schools scored 380. These were St Marie’s R C, Kinglassie, Aberdour, Crossgates and Hill of Beath primaries.
