Ex-HGTV Host Shares Health Update Following Departure

Jenn Todryk said this week that her Hashimoto’s disease has shown marked improvement. Her thyroid antibody levels have fallen sharply after years of management.

Recent lab results

In October, Todryk reported antibody levels near 5,000. Her latest bloodwork registered at 257.

She noted normal antibody readings are usually close to zero. Many people with Hashimoto’s register much lower values.

Treatment changes

Todryk credited a simplified regimen for the improvement. She cut nearly 20 supplements down to two products.

Her current plan includes a long-term hormone pill and a drinkable supplement called Glow by Beam. She helped develop that beverage.

She also adjusted intake because she suspected a shift toward hyperthyroidism, which can occur in cellular Hashimoto’s.

Diagnosis and monitoring

Todryk was first diagnosed with hypothyroidism in 2014. A Hashimoto’s diagnosis followed in 2017.

She tracks inflammation by measuring thyroid antibodies. The tests help guide her treatment decisions.

According to the Mayo Clinic, Hashimoto’s can cause fatigue, muscle stiffness, and sensitivity to cold.

Career and family

She left HGTV’s No Demo Reno in 2023 after three seasons to prioritize family life. She and her husband, Mike Todryk, have three children: Von, Berkley, and Vivienne.

She said she has no regrets about stepping away. Todryk also confirmed she keeps a positive relationship with HGTV.

In March 2025, she told Filmogaz.com the network’s door remains open should she wish to create content again.
